Writing My name is Ugochinyere Ijeoma Nwagbara, also known as Ugochinyere Ijeoma Obi. I am a public health researcher and epidemiologist with a passion for improving population health through research and evidence-based public health interventions. I hold a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Microbiology from the University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria. I also hold a Postgraduate Diploma and a Master of Medical Science (MMSc) in Public Health from the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN), South Africa, where I am currently pursuing a PhD in Public Health. My research interests include epidemiology, maternal and child health, healthcare quality, viral haemorrhagic fevers, and public health responses to emerging and re-emerging health threats, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa. I am also interested in evidence synthesis and have contributed to scoping reviews on public health issues, including COVID-19. In addition to my research activities, I contribute to scholarly publishing through peer review of academic manuscripts in public health and related fields. My reviewing interests include epidemiology, maternal and child health, healthcare quality, health systems research, and evidence synthesis, including scoping reviews and systematic reviews. Through my peer-review activities, I aim to support the publication of scientifically rigorous, methodologically sound, and clearly reported research that contributes to public health knowledge and practice. My goal is to contribute to the advancement of public health knowledge through research that informs policy, strengthens healthcare systems, improves healthcare quality, and promotes better health outcomes. I am particularly committed to generating evidence that addresses public health challenges and supports equitable access to quality healthcare, especially in resource-limited settings.
