Daniele Corbo

Dr. Daniele Corbo is a research fellow at the Department of Medical and Surgical Specialties, Radiological Sciences and Public Health at the University of Brescia, specializing in neuroimaging applications to psychiatric and neurological disorders. With a PhD in Neuroscience from the Second University of Naples and a background in biomedical physics, he has built an interdisciplinary career spanning neurocognitive dysfunction, neurodegeneration, and psychiatric imaging. Dr. Corbo's research leverages structural and functional MRI to explore conditions such as schizophrenia, borderline personality disorder, Parkinson’s disease, and post-COVID brain changes. He has played key roles in large-scale collaborative projects like CLIMAMITHE and I-ADNI and has authored nearly 50 peer-reviewed publications in journals including NeuroImage: Clinical, JAMA Neurology, Translational Psychiatry, and Alzheimer’s & Dementia. Beyond his research, Dr. Corbo has widely contributed to the academic community through peer review, as well as serving as section editor for Brain Sciences and as editor across Frontiers journals. He is also active in academic teaching, lecturing on cerebrospinal imaging, MR scanner technology, and medical physics in several Italian degree and postgraduate programs.
