Dr. Santiago Delgado Tirado specializes in cornea, cataract, and refractive surgery. He holds an MD and MSc in Vision Research from the University of Valladolid, where he also completed his residency in Ophthalmology at the Clinic Hospital of Valladolid. Dr. Delgado is currently pursuing a PhD in Medicine from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. His extensive education includes a research fellowship at the Schepens Eye Research Institute, Massachusetts Eye and Ear, Harvard Medical School, where he has also served as a research consultant. Currently, Dr. Delgado is an Ophthalmology Specialist at Miranza. His research expertise is centered on aberrant angiogenesis and ocular fibrosis. His significant contributions to the field have been recognized with several awards, including the Medical Research in Retina Award and the Best Scientific Paper Award from Schepens Eye Research Institute. Dr. Delgado Tirado is also an active member of key ophthalmological societies such as SECOIR, ESCRS, and ASCRS, and has presented his findings at numerous international conferences.
