Misi Toxicology
Pernyataan Misi
Our community advances scientific knowledge by translating toxicological discoveries into real-world solutions that protect public health, society, and the environment.
Tujuan & Ruang Lingkup
The Toxicology community provides a platform for publishing interdisciplinary research that advances our understanding of how toxic substances affect human health at the molecular, cellular, systemic, and behavioral levels. We share work that translates toxicological discoveries into evidence-based strategies for disease prevention, therapeutic intervention, and the development of safer medical and consumer products. Our focus spans mechanistic, clinical, forensic, and regulatory toxicology, emphasizing studies with direct biomedical relevance.
We welcome, but are not limited to, submissions in the following areas:
- Cellular and molecular mechanisms of toxicity, including oxidative stress, neurotoxicity, and inflammation
- Clinical toxicology and safety assessment of pharmaceuticals, psychoactive substances, and medical interventions
- Experimental models of toxicity using animal and alternative systems (e.g., C. elegans, zebrafish, in vitro platforms)
- Pharmacokinetics, drug–drug interactions, and toxicometabolomics in human health contexts
- Forensic toxicology, including detection and characterization of new psychoactive substances and synthetic drugs
- Translational research on antidotes, neuroprotective agents, and novel therapeutic targets in toxicology
- Regulatory science and risk assessment frameworks for human exposure to drugs, chemicals, and complex mixtures
- Methodological advances in toxicological testing, including behavioral assays, high-throughput screening, and bioanalytical techniques
Kebijakan Tinjauan Sejawat

Multilingual submissions and peer review
Currently, our editorial pool is open to receive articles in English.
If you want to submit in a different language, please contact us at edops@sciencebank.com with your proposal to assess if we have the capacity to evaluate your paper.
Publishing fees
This community publishes fully open access, and authors keep their copyright under an open licence. Fees depend on Society membership:
- Society members publish with no article processing charge (APC).
- Non-members pay a flat, transparent fee of 1,000 USD to publish. You can submit now and pay only if your article is accepted, or pay at submission and be refunded under the Fees and Payment policy if it is not published.
- Waivers are available on request under ScienceBank's Fees and Payment policy, including for researchers from low- and middle-income countries.
For questions about fees, membership or waivers, contact edops@sciencebank.com. To understand what the publishing fees cover and all the benefits of publishing at ScienceBank, please refer to the "Publishing fees" section in the Fees and Payment policy.
Type of peer review
Our community reviews double-blind, which means:
- Authors’ names and institutes are withheld from reviewers and from the handling editors during peer review
- Reviewers’ names and institutes are withheld from authors, during peer review and after the decision
- Reviewers’ names and institutes are anonymized to each other during the peer review process
- The peer-review record is not published: no reviewer or editor names appear alongside the final article
The full policy is in the Editor and reviewer guidelines.
Peer review process
- Pre-screening: All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial screening by the ScienceBank team to ensure policy compliance with our policies, originality (using the software of Similarity Check), and the overall quality.
- Pre-acceptance: If a manuscript passes the initial screening, an editor from our community will evaluate whether it has the enough amount and quality of information (according to article's needs and the field standard) to proceed to peer review. In the case of potential conflicts of interests with our current editors and the authors, ScienceBank will suggest an appropriate editor from another community.
- Peer review: After pre-acceptance, two external reviewers are invited to evaluate the manuscript and provide constructive feedback aimed at improving it. Editors will then scope reviewers' comments to offer authors clear guidance on the revisions needed for resubmission.
